Macriffik Docbonanza
4290728 2002 bay mare
We are proud & excited to
tell you what we found in the June 2010 issue of the The American
Quarter Horse Journal!
Our mare we raised (Macriffik Docbonanza) "Bonnie" is
owned by Liberty Hill Farm (Rich,Lanna, & Katelyn Peterson). Bonnie is
an own daughter of the awesome sire "MACRIFFIK" & Docs Bonanza Gal
(Maggie). "Bonnie" placed 5th in the Open Division Leaders in Green
Working Hunter. (Pg. 178). "Bonnie" also placed 4th in the Open Division
Senior Leaders in Green Working Hunter. (Pg. 184).
I am so proud of "Bonnie" and Liberty Hill Farm for what
they have accomplished! We wanted to share this with our family &
friends.
Our hearts are so full of pride and happiness. Kay & Bob
Linville Here's what our trainer has to say about "Bonnie"
after working with her:
"Macriffik Docbonanza is currently in training.
She is very quiet with an incredibly-sweet disposition. Her
discipline to this point is showmanship, which she has already as
a two-year-old mastered. This mare does a full 360 pivot and will
come right back into a 360 pull turn while keeping her right back
planted. She automatically sets herself up and remains posed
until given a cue to move on. She will be shown in halter and
showmanship. She has been under saddle for 60 days (by March of
2004) with limited expectations. She should be ready soon for a
walk-trot competition and possibly a 2-yr old snaffle bit
futurity. She is 16h at the hip and 15.2 at the wither. She
should excel as a hunt seat prospect. Flat-kneed and slow legged
with a baby doll trot that you can't stop watching. This mare
loads, ties, clips and would make a wonderful horse for a youth or
novice amt, that could start showing in showmanship and halter
and then move into riding classes as the horse matures. Being
just a 2 year old, we don't want to push her. When I ride her, I
do a great deal of flexing and bending. teaching her to give to
the bit and also to move away from pressure. She's also learning
to pivot while being ridden. Basics are what is important. There
is plenty of time for loping. We don't lope until we have the
gaits were they need to be. She has a naturally low head set
which is very relaxed." ~Doug Weber
